Sally Bethea was one of the first women in America to become a “riverkeeper”—a vocal defender of a specific endangered waterway. Join us at the Apalachicola Margaret Key Public Library, 80 12th Street, for a discussion and book signing by an icon in the environmental community: the founding Chattahoochee Riverkeeper who spent two decades helping to revive a neglected river (and a tributary of the Apalachicola River) from a century of misuse. Free. Light refreshments. All are welcome!
